This site not only reflects my skills and competences as an early childhood professional, but also my passion and commitment to individual child's development and families support.   

My name is Miu Wan Young. I am majoring in Child and Adolescent Development with my Bachelor degree at San Francisco State University, and concentrate in Young Child and Family. Early childhood is fascinating to me. I am constantly amazed by young children's incredible drive for learning, their way of thinking, their interaction with peers and their attachment to their caregivers. Thus, I have a great passion to work with young children and families, especially those who are new immigrants from Asia.

I am currently working at Asian Community Mental Health Services (ACMHS), locates in Oakland, as a Mental Health Specialist, and completing my 120 internship hours at Wah-Mei School in San Francisco. I am glad that both places provide me a great opportunity to work with young children aged zero to five. At the same time, I gain a lot of insight and practicum to have real life experiences with them. I feel I am blessed to be part of their lives to go through some difficult moments.
